What Is Glass Door Replacement?
Glass door replacement is replacing the glass panel of a commercial or entrance door, or the full door leaf, with new glass and matched hardware. It covers frameless tempered doors on storefronts, aluminium-frame doors in plazas and office buildings, fire-rated glass doors in stairwells and corridors, and the sidelites and transoms around them.
Unlike a house door, a commercial entrance has to pass rules: OBC Part 3 for safety glazing and fire separations, AODA for accessibility, and sometimes the landlord’s own building standards. The glass and hardware we install are chosen to pass all of them.

When to Replace Rather Than Repair
Replace the door glass or leaf when:
- The glass is broken. Tempered and laminated door glass cannot be repaired.
- The door failed an inspection. No fire label, missing AODA markings or annealed glass where safety glass is required.
- The door has been targeted before. Upgrading to SentryGlas laminated slows the next attempt.
- The hardware has failed with the glass. A shattered frameless door often damages its patch fittings or pivot.
If the glass is intact and the door only drags or slams, glass door repair is usually all you need.
Hardware That Lasts
The glass gets the attention, but the hardware decides how long the door lasts. We match or upgrade:

- Hager hinges and pivots sized for the weight of the new panel.
- Blumcraft and Dorma patch fittings in brushed or polished finishes.
- Panic hardware where exit requirements apply.

After a Break-In
Restaurant and retail entrances are a common break-in target. We arrive inside 2 hours in the 416, clear the glass, board the opening with 15mm OSB and keep a usable entrance where we can. The adjuster gets photos and an itemised invoice, and we direct-bill the insurer. The new door glass goes in within the week where stock allows.
